OCEAN HEROES -
SURFING THE SPECTRUM

SERVICE: MEDIA RELATIONS

Ocean Heroes is a not-for-profit organisation that offer free, public surfing events and one-on-one surf experiences, for children on the spectrum. Learning to surf offers a fun, healthy, and unique way for people on the autism spectrum to develop their confidence, boost self-esteem and make connections with others.

Since 2016, Ocean Heroes has shared the thrill and wonder of surfing with over seven thousand members of the autism community around Australia.

They’re not just getting kids on waves, they’re building communities of parents and volunteers, creating an inclusive, welcoming environment.

Famiglia PR has worked with Ocean Heroes in a pro-bono capacity since 2021, supporting operations in both W.A. & NSW with media relations.

We also regularly volunteer at the events ourselves; we love the Ocean Heroes community.
